Healthcare Council and Corazon, Inc. are excited to invite our members to participate in a program focused on strategies and solutions for recruiting, with a focus on service line leadership or other administrative roles. The program, Vacancy as a Catalyst for Change: Solutions for Today’s Recruitment Challenges, will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18th. The virtual program is offered free of charge to Healthcare Council members.
An effective recruitment strategy can make all the difference in securing the right talent for a successful specialty program, especially in the context of significant and widespread staff and leadership vacancies across the country. Due to the continued Covid impact, current staff are overworked, programs are overwhelmed, and hospitals are struggling to find talented leaders to manage the ongoing struggles within our industry today.
Having access to a large, pre-qualified national candidate pool is just one way to increase the likelihood of finding qualified candidates for a key open position. Other strategies and solutions – the use of interim placements, conducting a market review to validate an offer, implementing a well-thought-out and planned social media strategy, creating a robust onboarding plan – can assist with making the difficult recruitment process somewhat less challenging.
In this program the speakers will share best-practice solutions to these and other common recruitment pitfalls within the search and placement continuum:
- Preparation for taking a search to market
- Current challenges/opportunities in vacancies
- Building the candidate pipeline
- Common mistakes that can de-rail any search process
- And more. .
A focus on challenges in today’s market for search, best practice placement process, and understanding the value of the correct search approach, can create a competitive advantage and a closed search.
