Healthcare Council is offering an ICD-10 PCS Coding Seminar on April 13, 2018. The seminar will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at Healthcare Council’s Jack C. Robinette Conference Center. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and a networking lunch will be served following the seminar.
Participants will review some frequently performed, but difficult to code procedures using ICD-10-PCS. These procedures include spinal fusion, valve in valve replacement and robotic
assisted hysterectomy. The ICD-10-PCS concepts and guidelines will be reviewed and the MS-DRG assignment factors will be discussed.
Laurie M. Johnson, MS, RHIA, FAHIMA, is the instructor for the seminar. She is an AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer and has more than 35 years of health information management experience. Her experience includes managing HIM departments as well as performing inpatient and outpatient coding audits. She has been a featured speaker at more than 40 conferences and seminars including the National RAC Conference, and the conference for the Pennsylvania Health Information Management Association, among others. She is currently serving on the AHIMA Clinical Terminology and Classification Practice Council.
